How you know if your signage supplier is giving you a good quality product? – In short, you don’t, until much, much later.
Ordinarily quotes are selected by price. Some, among the more discerning business owners, select the best balance between price and service offering.
Others base their decision purely on price.
What is the result? The sign looks good for a while, especially when it’s time to get the payment, but after a while the quality of the materials used becomes evident.
Recently I came across a North-facing sign of a branch of a well known Paint and Hardware retailer. No doubt, they didn’t pay cheaply for this sign, but cheap materials were used by the supplier.
How would they have known that their signage was going to fade crack and peel? They wouldn’t have known. They put their trust in their supplier, and quite frankly, got diddled!
It’s one thing when your sign starts doing this, but if you’ve had vehicle branding done, and the wrong materials were used, getting the peeling branding off the vehicle at this stage almost requires a respray.
